What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
Intensive outpatient programs can be exclusively designed for the treatment of drug or alcohol addictions or they can be dual diagnosis programs that also treat co-occurring mental health disorders. At Athens Recovery, we know that mental health concerns and substance use issues often go hand-in-hand and our IOP support clients in every aspect of their lives.
Our IOP offers a wide degree of flexibility. We believe no program should be one-size-fits-all. Our team will tailor a treatment plan that is designed for your unique set of circumstances. Clients can attend therapy sessions three to five days a week as needed, with options for a day or evening schedule.
This level of care is ideal for those with responsibilities at work or at home. Day treatment options run from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., while our evening program meets from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This evening program is a great fit for clients who have completed a residential or PHP program and are continuing to stay connected three nights per week while returning to work, school, or other daytime life obligations. It can also be suitable for other situations and circumstances. Our admissions staff can help you with a short screening to see if our evening IOP is the right fit for you.
