What Is a Partial Hospitalization Program?
Our PHP is a structured addiction and mental health treatment program that provides more hours of daily programming than an intensive outpatient program (IOP), but less than the 24-hour care provided by an inpatient substance use disorder treatment program. By offering high-quality care and support on an outpatient basis, this treatment program can support clients as they build the skills needed for sobriety in a real-world environment.
The partial hospitalization program at Athens Recovery offers services five or more days per week. PHP is the highest level of outpatient rehab, or non-inpatient rehab. Many of those who struggle with addiction are candidates for the PHP level of care either as a primary drug and alcohol addiction treatment recommendation or as an initial step-down program for transition from an inpatient or residential treatment program.
